Possibly the only occasion during which it’s socially acceptable to eat a deep fried Mars bar, the Canadian National Exhibition graces Toronto with excitement, attractions, thrill rides and plenty of carnival-themed fun.
The 2010 CNE is taking over Exhibition place from August 20th to September 6th, and there’s no greater way to begin wrapping up summer or get ready for back to school than heading to the Ex in Toronto. And what better way to mark 100 different things you can do in our lovely city!
Spend the day on midway rides like the Polar Express, Crazy Mouse, Ferris Wheel, Wave Swinger and the all-new The Skater, the terrifying and scare-you-stiff guess-your-weight and haunted house attractions along with over 150 games where you can try your luck at winning an oversized stuffed animal without worrying about where you’ll put it when you get home.
Get your Food Network fix with workshops like “The Art and Science of Chocolate Chip Cookies” with Canada’s (and likely the world’s) greatest TV chef Michael Smith and appearances by Lynn Crawford from Pitchin’ In and Rob Rainford from License to Grill.
Don’t miss concerts by Classified, Kim Mitchell, Bedouin Soundclash and Gloria Gaynor, along with the President’s Choice SuperDogs Show and the 39th Annual Cat Show.
Heads up: August 19th is the last day to snag early bird ticket discounts, available at Mac’s Convenience stores, the Lakeshore GO Station, Union Staton and at the CNE website.
