Come and celebrate Toronto’s BuskerFest during its 11th year at the end of August, one of the largest BuskerFests in all of North America with hundreds of performers taking over the streets of the St. Lawrence Market area from August 26th to August 29th.
The festival is organized by Epilepsy Toronto as a giant, colourful and exuberant fundraiser for supporting people with epilepsy and their families through mimes, magicians, daredevils, puppets, clowns, acrobats, contortionists, high-skilled circus acts and more.
Street performing is one of the most honest forms of entertainment. The festival is $10 to $19 for admission, which goes to Epilepsy Toronto and then watch the show and decide how amazed you are when individual performers pass around a hat after their show for tips.
Food vendors and artisans from the Market area will also be serving up local city flavours. This festival is rain or shine, so don’t forget a sunscreen, umbrella and some spare change (or 5s, 10s and 20s).
