Things to do in Toronto on St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is 10 days away, but Toronto’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is this Sunday, March 13th.
“May the lilt of Irish laughter lighten every load. May the mist of Irish magic shorten every road… And may all your friends remember all the favours you are owed!”
Toronto St. Patrick’s Day fun fact: The Toronto Maple Leafs were once the Toronto St. Patricks (1919-1927) and wore green jerseys.
The St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at noon at Boor and St. George, heading to Yonge Street, then across Queen Street and ending at University Avenue just past Nathan Philips Square. The parade is expected to be about 90 minutes long.
The parade happens rain or shine (or snow), although as of now Sunday’s forecasted temperatures look to be a little on the colder side.
